Geno Smith Set for Rebound Opportunity vs. Commanders
Geno Smith enters Week 3 with a strong opportunity to rebound against a Washington Commanders defense that has struggled to generate pressure. Washington has managed just four sacks through two games while ranking middle of the pack in most categories -- 15th in total yards allowed, 18th against the pass (213 yards per game), and 14th versus the run (104.5). The Raiders' offensive line also gets a boost with right guard Jackson Powers-Johnson practicing fully on Thursday and Friday, returning the unit to full strength. That added protection should give Smith more time to push the ball downfield, taking advantage of favorable matchups. On the injury front, tight end Brock Bowers has logged limited practices all week but appears healthier after managing only a late-week session before his last game. Smith remains a solid QB2 option in superflex formats.
