Francisco Cervelli Back On Concussion DL
6 years agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates placed catcher Francisco Cervelli (head) on the seven-day concussion disabled list on Saturday with post-concussive symptoms. In a corresponding move, catcher Jacob Stallings has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis. Cervelli has been beat up behind the dish this year, which is why the team has considered moving him to first base eventually. When he's been on the field, though, he's been good, hitting .243 with nine home runs and 36 RBI in 189 at-bats. Elias Diaz will continue to do the majority of the catching with Cervelli out, and he's been great for the Bucs, too, hitting .280 with seven home runs and 23 RBI in just 150 at-bats. Diaz is definitely worth an add in two-catcher leagues if he's still available.
