San Jose Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson had a special outing Thursday against Minnesota, factoring in four goals in a 5-2 win. He opened the scoring inside the first minute of play and went on to record three assists. It's his third four-point effort of the season, and Karlsson has tied his career high with a nine-game scoring streak. The six-time All-Star has been playing out of his skin this season, collecting 13 goals and 46 points in 33 appearances. Karlsson is by far the highest-scoring defenseman in the league and you can even find him chasing down a top-five spot on the overall scoring list. He will be collecting his third Norris Trophy if he can keep this up for the whole season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
