Eli Manning's Future In New York Uncertain
7 years agoBeyond the 2018 season, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning's future is uncertain. "This league, it's one year at a time. That's kind of how it goes. I need to go out there and play well this year, and that's all I'm looking forward to," Manning said. The team's brass hasn't said anything regarding Manning other than that he will enter the 2018 season as the starter, and he'll count $22.2 million against the salary cap this season. The 37-year-old can become a free agent after next season, but it appears he has interest in playing beyond that. The Giants have Davis Webb waiting in the wings, and it's widely believed that they'll select a signal caller with the second overall pick in this month's draft. Manning completed only 61.6 percent of his passes last year with 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, but he could bounce back nicely with Odell Beckham Jr. healthy. Still, Manning is more of an underwhelming fantasy backup at this stage of his career.
