Miami Marlins right-hander Edward Cabrera (biceps) will be placed on the injured list after he's been unable to continue to build up due to right biceps muscle fatigue, according to a source. Cabrera got a slightly late start to spring training due to visa issues as well, but the good news is it's expected to be a short stint on the injured list. When the 23-year-old returns, he'll begin his season at Triple-A Jacksonville. In seven starts in his rookie season in 2021, Cabrera had a 5.81 ERA, a 1.63 WHIP, a 23.3% strikeout rate and a 15.8% walk rate in just 26 1/3 innings pitched. He'll need to display better command if he wants to return to Miami's rotation at some point this season.--Keith Hernandez
