Eagles Likely To Be Conservative With Jalen Hurts
5 years agoWhile many think that Philadelphia Eagles rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts could be used as a package player this year, NJ Advance Media's Mike Kaye is wary of that role, at least early in Hurts' rookie campaign. The Eagles see Hurts as a genuine QB, so they're likely to take a conservative approach with his development. Philly has also shown patience with most of their rookies during the Doug Pederson era. Hurts also isn't getting a typical offseason to grow within the offense because of restrictions surrounding COVID-19. The Eagles don't have to force Hurts onto the field with Nate Sudfeld a capable backup to Carson Wentz. So while Hurts has the potential to be a dynamic weapon in the NFL, his development is likely to progress slowly, making him only a stash option in dynasty/keeper leagues in 2020.
