Drew Lock To Receive First Rep On Wednesday
3 years agoDenver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said that quarterback Drew Lock will get the first practice repetition in training camp on Wednesday. "We have these first four days. Everything was 50-50 in OTA. What group worked with, drills. We will take look after first off day. Then maybe do a day where one gets 70 and the other 30 reps. It's going to be 50-50," Fangio said. The Broncos will give Lock and newcomer Teddy Bridgewater equal opportunities to prove they should be the starter this summer. Bridgewater has more experience, a better track record and takes care of the ball more, which is why Broncos beat writers expect him to ultimately win the job, but Lock is more familiar with the scheme and has more physical upside. Those in redraft leagues can stay away from this situation, but whoever wins the job could have some sleeper appeal in two-QB leagues given the talent on offense in Denver.
