3 years agoDenver Broncos offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur said that "this is the best version of Drew Lock I've seen" when asked if there has been any separation in the quarterback competition between Lock and Teddy Bridgewater in training camp. However, as recently as last week, head coach Vic Fangio called the competition between Lock and Bridgewater "still even Steven." "There's been no separation. We're going to keep the rotation these next three days the way it's been," Fangio said. The two signal-callers continue to split the repetitions in practice evenly, and there is currently no leader in this battle. Lock has more upside with his physical tools, but Denver may opt for the veteran Bridgewater as more of a game manager because he has been better at avoiding costly turnovers. We should see one of the two emerge as a favorite when preseason games get underway. For now, neither QB is a very attractive QB2 for fantasy managers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
