D'Onta Foreman Ends With Negative Yards In Week 15
12 months agoChicago Bears running back D'Onta Foreman appeared to reclaim the lead in the backfield upon his return in Week 14, but Week 15 proved to be a challenging matchup against the Browns. The veteran running back ran six times for negative six yards and did not register a catch in the 20-17 loss. Despite starting the game, Foreman was quickly replaced by teammates Roschon Johnson and Khalil Herbert due to his struggles. While the Bears seem inclined to feature Foreman, he needs to run more efficiently when the backfield is healthy to maintain a solid volume. The 27-year-old has limited involvement in the passing game, and the Bears' offense doesn't provide ample opportunities for him to score touchdowns. In Week 16, facing the Cardinals, who allow the second-most points per game to running backs this season, the Bears are likely to continue a committee approach. Foreman must find success in his touches to avoid being phased out as the season closes.
