The Miami Dolphins signed first-round linebacker Jaelan Phillips to his four-year rookie deal on Wednesday. Phillips was taken with the 18th overall selection in this year's NFL draft out of the University of Miami. In his first full season in 2020, he earned All-American honors while racking up 45 tackles, eight sacks, one interception and four passes defensed. Listed as a defensive end in college, Phillips will be used as a linebacker to generate pressure off the edge in Miami. The 22-year-old has some injury concerns, but if he can stay healthy, he could wind up being one of the most talented edge rushers of his draft class. He can win with either finesse or straight power, and Phillips could be on the IDP radar sooner than later.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
