The Miami Dolphins announced on Thursday that they have parted ways with defensive coordinator Josh Boyer. In addition to Boyer, safeties coach Steve Gregory, outside linebackers coach Ty McKenzie and assistant linebackers coach Steve Ferentz were relieved of their duties. Boyer had been with Miami for the last four years (three as defensive coordinator). Season-ending injuries to cornerbacks Byron Jones and Nik Needham, safety Brandon Jones and defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah didn't help in 2022. The Dolphins had the fourth-best run defense, but they ranked 21st in defensive expected points added, 22nd in sacks per pass attempt and 24th in points allowed per game and third-down percentage.--Keith HernandezRead More News
