Dolphins Acknowledge Mike Gesicki's Lack Of Production
2 years agoMiami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said that he hasn't done a great job of getting tight end Mike Gesicki the football this year. Gesicki caught his only targets for a five-yard gain in the Week 15 loss to the Buffalo Bills and has a whopping one catch on five targets for five yards in the last four games combined. On the season, Gesicki has produced just 25 receptions on 40 targets for 274 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games. The Dolphins are aware of Gesicki's lack of involvement, but they didn't say they'd make any kind of concerted effort to change it the rest of the season. As soon as All-Pro target hog Tyreek Hill entered the fold in Miami in 2022, it was assumed that Gesicki would suffer, but most people couldn't have seen this terrible of a season coming. The 27-year-old simply cannot be trusted in starting fantasy lineups.
