Dodgers Don't Have Designated Closer
Tanner Scott has pitched of late, Roberts isn't anointing him the primary closer, even though the team is without Kirby Yates (hamstring) and Michael Kopech (shoulder). The 30-year-old southpaw took a blown save and a loss last Wednesday and picked up a hold on Friday, but he had another rough outing in Monday's series-opening loss to the New York Mets, allowing two runs (one earned) and two hits while walking one in the 10th inning. Scott has surrendered 12 runs (10 earned) and has blown three of his four save chances in six innings over his last seven appearances. The struggling left-hander could still see save opportunities during this rough patch, but fellow lefty Alex Vesia could also be mixed in after recording the team's last save last Friday.
