DK Metcalf Doesn't Need Surgery
2 years agoSeattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said the team got a "really good report" on wide receiver DK Metcalf (knee) after he was injured in the Week 7 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, and he doesn't need surgery. Carroll said Metcalf has a patellar tendon injury that may be an old injury. Metcalf is determined to practice on Wednesday, but Carroll is unsure if that will happen and won't place a timeline on the star receiver. We'll know more on the 24-year-old as the week progresses, but as of right now, fantasy managers should consider him extremely questionable for Week 8 against the New York Giants. Marquise Goodwin stepped up on Sunday after Metcalf was injured, leading Seattle in receiving with four catches, 67 yards and two touchdowns.
