Diontae Johnson Showcasing Ability In Offensive Drills
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver Diontae Johnson made some solid impressions during Monday's practice. The team was working on a 2-point conversion drill and Johnson did his best to catch the attention of the staff and fans. On two occasions, the 2019 third-round pick hauled in a pass, made some quick cuts, leaving his defenders in his wake. Johnson is expected to contribute on special teams this season, but it is still unsure what role, if any, he will have on offense. At 5'11" 183 lbs, he is a typical slot receiver in the NFL, but he is also dealing with competition from Ryan Switzer and Eli Rogers. The rookie is mainly a dynasty stash until he develops an established role in the offense.
