Dillon Brooks Stars With 39 Points As Canada Beats U.S. For Bronze
1 year agoHouston Rockets guard/forward Dillon Brooks finished off the 2023 FIBA World Cup with a bang, leading all scorers with 39 points as Team Canada beat Team USA 127-118 in the bronze medal game. Brooks produced an extraordinary 7-for-8 effort from downtown and shot 12-for-18 overall from the field. A few days after declaring himself the best perimeter defender in the world, Brooks registered two blocks and a steal on the defensive end, completing his haul across 42 minutes in an overtime game with four rebounds and five assists. Brooks had a strong finish to the tournament and should be full of confidence ahead of training camp with his new team. Not that the lack of confidence has ever been the issue with him.
