Derek Carr May Be Done For Final Two Games
4 years agoLas Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden said that quarterback Derek Carr (groin) didn't suffer a tear in the Thursday night loss to the Chargers, but the coach described the injury as a significant groin pull. Carr will undergo an MRI exam on Friday, but there is a chance that we've seen the last of him for the 2020 season. Fantasy managers shouldn't be holding out hope that they'll have Carr available for either of the next two weeks, even with the Raiders having a little extra time before their Week 16 date with the Dolphins. Marcus Mariota replaced Carr against the Chargers and didn't look terrible, going 17-for-28 for 226 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also ran the ball nine times for 88 yards and a score. Mariota would be nothing more than a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues, though, if he starts against Miami next week.
