The Houston Texans are re-signing free-agent defensive lineman Derek Barnett, according to team reporter Jonathan M. Alexander. Barnett was a first-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017 out of Tennessee but has spent the last two seasons with Houston. Barnett had his most productive season since 2020 last year, racking up 26 total tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one pass deflection. Barnett is coming back on a one-year, $5 million deal and will continue to provide depth along head coach DeMeco Ryans' defensive front.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller
