Denzel Mims Back With The Team
4 years agoNew York Jets head coach Adam Gase said that rookie wide receiver Denzel Mims is back with the team after leaving last week and missing the Week 14 loss to the Seahawks to deal with a personal issue. Mims couldn't get through COVID-19 protocol in time to play against Seattle last weekend, but he should be available for the team's Week 15 affair against the Rams. The Baylor product got a late start to the season due to injury and didn't make his NFL debut until Week 7 against Buffalo. The 23-year-old second-rounder has 19 receptions (36 targets) for 324 yards in his six games, and he's still looking for his first touchdown. In a weak Jets offense as the third receiver behind Jamison Crowder and Breshad Perriman, fantasy owners shouldn't expect much in his return against a Rams Defense that has allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers in 2020.
