Don't be surprised if Denny Hamlin is a factor to win this weekend's South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has been one of the best at Las Vegas and similar tracks this year, as Hamlin has the second-best average running position of all drivers over those six races. The only other driver who has a better average position is Hamlin's teammate, Ty Gibbs. Looking at Hamlin's track record here at Las Vegas, he got the victory in the fall race back in 2021 and has finished 11th or better in each of his last four starts here, including a fifth-place run in the 2022 playoff race. Hamlin also finished fifth at Charlotte this season, which is a similar track to Las Vegas, as well as eighth at Kansas a few weeks ago, which is the sister track to Vegas.--Jordan McAbee
