Denny Hamlin is no stranger to being on the pole at Talladega Superspeedway. On Saturday, he earned his fourth pole of his career at this race track, all of which have occurred during the last three seasons. This is Hamlin's first pole win of the 2023 season, and now he has his sights focused on getting his first race win. When asked about how important the pole is at Talladega, Denny stated, "Well you got track position now. Now you just got to maintain it... Hopefully, we're going to keep it up front all day." Hamlin is a two-time winner at Talladega and has finished 7th or better in five of his last seven starts here. He should be a contender for the win in Sunday's GEICO 500.--Jordan McAbee
