4 years agoNew York Giants first-year head coach Joe Judge is contemplating having quarterback Daniel Jones practice without the usual no-contact red jersey in hopes that a few hits to the QB get him ready for the regular season. Judge has taken an old-school approach in his first training camp with the Giants and has been a strict disciplinarian. "I'm not in a hurry to go ahead and just beat the hell out of him," Judge said. "But at some point, we'll prepare his body for what he may take in the first game." Jones, the No. 6 overall pick of 2019, was sacked 38 times in 13 games last year and also fumbled 18 times as a rookie. The 23-year-old has improvements to make, but his cast of supporting weapons is strong and he showed he can put up big numbers for fantasy owners.
