Cowboys Remain Committed To Dak Prescott
4 years agoDallas Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said the team remains committed to quarterback Dak Prescott (ankle) after he suffered a gruesome season-ending compound fracture and dislocation of his ankle in the Week 5 win over the Giants. Dallas and Prescott were unable to come to terms on a long-term contract extension before the 2020 season, so he was playing this season under the franchise tag. "He's our future. He's special. If anyone can overcome anything it will be Dak. It's something our doctors feel like he'll overcome, and he'll come back better than ever," Jones said. It's a huge blow to the Cowboys and fantasy owners, as Prescott had thrown for the most yards in NFL history through four games. Former Bengal Andy Dalton will take over the rest of the way, and he'll have streaming appeal in 12-team leagues in the right matchups. He'll be an attractive waiver pickup this week.
