Cowboys Expect Tyron Smith To Be Back
2 years agoDallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones expects offensive tackle Tyron Smith to be back with the team in 2023. "The biggest takeaway from our meetings was you can't have enough of these guys," Jones said. The Cowboys have three starting-caliber options at offensive tackle between Tyron Smith, Tyler Smith and Terence Steele, which is why Tyron Smith has been a potential salary cap casualty this offseason. The 32-year-old missed the first 13 games of the 2022 season due to an avulsion fracture in his left knee, and he recently had surgery to fix a minor knee injury earlier this month. If Tyron Smith is going to remain in Dallas moving forward, he's going to have to restructure his contract.
