Connor McDavid Not Ruled Out For Sunday's Heritage Classic
1 year agoEdmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid (upper body) skated for a second consecutive day Friday, and there's a chance he might be able to return to the lineup for Sunday's Heritage Classic against Calgary. The Oilers captain was hurt last Saturday in a meeting with Winnipeg and was ruled out for 1-2 weeks. It looks like he is progressing well, and as Oilers head coach Jay Woodcroft has noted, there's still time before Sunday's game. The Oilers have lost both games without McDavid and couldn't even score Thursday versus the Rangers. Before getting injured, the reigning league MVP had started the 2023-24 campaign with a five-game point streak, posting two goals and six assists.
