Colts Easing Michael Pittman Jr. Into Training Camp
1 year agoThe Indianapolis Colts are going to ease wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (hip) into training camp after he had offseason hip surgery. Pittman said he's completely over the injury, but the Colts just want to be extra cautious in bringing him back into the fold. Unless Pittman suffers a setback with his hip in practice or the preseason, he should be 100 percent healthy by the time Week 1 rolls around. The 25-year-old former second-rounder came short of the 1,000-yard mark in 2022, but his target load was encouraging while he dealt with poor play at the quarterback position. Pittman could do plenty of damage with quarterback Gardner Minshew throwing him passes, but rookie Anthony Richardson is likely to get a chance eventually. Target Pittman as a WR3 in fantasy.
