Christian Vazquez Homers Twice
5 years agoBoston Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez finished 2-for-4 with two home runs and five runs batted in during Sunday's 6-3 win over Philadelphia. This was Vazquez's biggest game of his career, and it came at a time when he had been cooling off near the end of the most productive season in his five years in the league. He's hitting .273 with a .781 OPS, 21 homers, 65 RBI, 25 doubles, and 59 runs. As someone that went undrafted in fantasy drafts, then to finish as one of the best at his position certainly raises some questions of sustainability heading into 2020, but for now just enjoy the career season for the 29-year-old.
