Christian McCaffrey Dealing With AC Joint Injury
4 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said that running back Christian McCaffrey (shoulder) is dealing with an AC joint issue in his shoulder and "probably" won't play in Week 10 against the division-rival Buccaneers. Rhule also said he doesn't anticipate this injury keeping McCaffrey out for the rest of the season. The All-Pro back is being considered week-to-week. Fantasy managers won't have him for their lineups this weekend, but the hope is that he might be able to return in Week 11 against the Lions. Mike Davis is in line to return to a sizable workload after serving as the primary back after McCaffrey suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 2 and missed six weeks. Albeit in a tough matchup with Tampa, Davis will once again return to the RB2 ranks. Wide receiver Curtis Samuel could also see a few more designed running plays.
