Chris Sale Looking To Build On Nice Stretch Thursday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale will look to keep the good times rolling as he takes on the Cincinnati Reds Thursday night at Fenway Park in Boston. The left-hander surrendered 15 runs across his first three starts of the season but has yielded just four earned runs over his last three starts spanning 20 innings of work. He has 20 punchouts against just three walks in that time while earning the win in each of his last two outings. The veteran southpaw has lowered his ERA to 4.72 on the season but he also boasts a 3.90 FIP and a 3.46 SIERA that combine to suggest he's been better than his surface ERA might suggest. He'll take on a Reds team that is tied for 12th with a .334 wOBA versus left-handed pitching this season.
