The St. Louis Cardinals selected Watson Chapel High School pitcher Tink Hence with the 63rd overall pick in the second round in the 2020 MLB draft on Thursday. Hence broke out last fall and hit 94 mph with his fastball before boosting his heater to 96 mph in October. He's not very physical at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, but the 17-year-old has quick-twitch athleticism and a fast arm. The Cardinals probably liked his age and despite his size and physicality, Hence could remain a starter at the next level because of his advanced arsenal, athleticism and ability to repeat his delivery.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
