Cam Akers Showing Improvement
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers has averaged just 3.33 yards per carry this year, with negative EPA per rush in eight of his 11 games. However, he's been in more of a "lead-back" role in the last four weeks and has shown improvement to 4.01 yards per rush, with positive EPA per carry in two of those four games. Akers has also scored three touchdowns in that four-game span. It's unknown if Akers has a future in Los Angeles, but there's been a noticeable shift in the clarity of the game plan for him over the last few weeks with the Rams playing out the string in a lost season. Rookie Kyren Williams will also continue to be involved, which limits Akers overall fantasy upside. He'll be an RB3/flex option for fantasy managers on Monday night against the Green Bay Packers.
