Cam Akers Could Factor Into Rams' Playoff Plans
Cam Akers (Achilles) could be a factor in the team's postseason plans, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Activated from injured reserve on Saturday, Akers won't play in Week 16. However, general manager Les Snead says that the "vision" is for the second-year back to return for the playoffs, just six months after tearing his Achilles. Since then, the FSU product has accomplished a fantastic and improbable recovery, putting him in a position to fill Los Angeles' lead-back role in 2022, if not sooner. Currently, the Rams employ Sony Michel and Darrell Henderson Jr. in a committee of sorts.
