Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Calvin Pickard stopped all 31 shots faced and grabbed his first shutout of the season in his team 4-0 defeat of the New York Rangers on Friday. Expected to earn the lion's share of starts in net due to Brian Elliott's recent injury, the 26-year-old stepped up and was perfect in the contest. Claimed off waivers earlier this season, Pickard hasn't been his best in ten appearances in his new uniform, posting a 3.58 goals-against average and a .878 save percentage. The Flyers desperately need Pickard to replicate Friday's performance moving forward in order to get back into the playoff picture.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
