Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar recorded the first three-point performance of his young NHL career on Thursday, leading his team to a 9-4 win over the Nashville Predators. The rookie blueliner played a large part in the lopsided victory - picking up a goal, two assists, a power-play point, a plus-one rating and four shots on goal in 19:50 of ice time. Makar is proving he more than belongs in the NHL in his first full season in 2019-2020. While averaging 19:15 of ice time per game, the Alberta native leads all rookies with 15 points (two goals, 13 assists), propped up by his excellent work on the Avs' first power-play unit (eight assists). Makar has evolved into a must-start fantasy option at this point and will be back in action against the Blue Jackets on Saturday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
