Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar (undisclosed) didn't participate in Tuesday's practice. He is reportedly "banged up" following the team's 4-0 loss on Sunday versus Buffalo. The Avalanche return to action Wednesday night against St. Louis, and there is hope Makar won't be kept out of the lineup, with Colorado head coach Jared Bednar saying Tuesday that at least one of Makar and Bowen Byram (undisclosed), who also missed the practice session, should be available. Makar has gone pointless in back-to-back games as the team as a whole has been shut out in consecutive outings, but it's still been a fine start to the season for the 2022 Norris Trophy winner. Makar has notched nine points (three goals, five assists) in eight outings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
