Los Angeles Kings goalie Cal Petersen is the projected starter for Friday's contest against the Chicago Blackhawks. It would be his first career NHL start. With Jonathan Quick (knee) and Peter Budaj (illness) both out of commission, Petersen is the next man up. He stopped 15-of-16 shots during a relief appearance against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday. The Blackhawks recently ended an eight-game losing streak, but still, they possess a plethora of offensive weapons. It is hard to recommend any Kings' goalie right now.
