Cal Petersen Set For Flyers Debut On Saturday
1 year agoPhiladelphia Flyers goaltender Cal Petersen will make his team debut in Saturday's matchup against his former squad, the Los Angeles Kings. He was sent from L.A. to Philadelphia in June in a three-team trade that included the Columbus Blue Jackets. Petersen had a decent time with the Kings and posted a 44-42-10 record with the team, but he featured just 10 times last season and spent most of the campaign in the minors. Petersen has also kicked off the 2023-24 season in the AHL, where he's had a tough time with a 3.76 goals-against average and a .884 save percentage. Things likely won't get easier for him on Saturday either, as Petersen faces a team that is averaging 4.20 goals a night this season in the NHL.
