C.J. Stroud 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Hoping For Resurgence With New Offensive Coordinator
C.J. Stroud led his team to a playoff win over the Los Angeles Chargers in 2024, but the campaign was still considered a bit of a sophomore slump after Stroud's breakout rookie season. He regressed in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and threw seven more interceptions than he did as a rookie. Offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik was let go, replaced by Nick Caley who comes from the Rams' organization. Stroud's receiver room got a major boost in the form of Iowa State rookies Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, along with sure-handed veteran Christian Kirk coming over from Jacksonville. The offensive line is retooled as well. It will be a new-look offense in Houston for Stroud's third season, and he should be in a much better situation in 2025 than he was in in 2024. Stroud is currently going off the board as QB17, which is right around where he finished in what was considered a bad season in 2024. He is a great target for fantasy managers who choose to wait at quarterback rather than take one of the top available options.
