C.J. Culpepper Tosses Six Perfect Innings On Thursday
7 months agoMinnesota Twins starting pitching prospect C.J. Culpepper tossed six perfect innings and tallied eight punchouts en route to earn his second victory of the season. Across 27 ⅓ innings at High-A, the 22-year-old has posted a 2.63 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 28:10 K:BB ratio this season. This is a big improvement compared to his 4.99 ERA and 1.41 WHIP he held through 39 ⅔ innings at High-A last summer. MLB Pipeline considers Culpepper the number eight prospect in the Minnesota system and projects him to reach the majors sometime next season. Dynasty managers should continue to monitor his progress, as he should be nearing a promotion to Double-A.
