Buccaneers Defense At Full Strength For Super Bowl
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers safeties Jordan Whitehead (shoulder) and Antoine Winfield Jr. (ankle) and linebacker Lavonte David (hamstring) have been removed from the final injury report for Super Bowl LV and will be active on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Winfield missed the NFC Championship game but will be back against Kansas City. Having both Winfield and Whitehead is excellent news as the Bucs defense tries to figure out a plan to slow down Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. The 22-year-old rookie has been impressive in 2020 and has shown excellent playmaking skills. David, arguably one of the best all-around linebackers in the game, was never really in danger of missing the Super Bowl while dealing with a minor injury. Tampa's nasty defensive line must keep Mahomes in the pocket and make him uncomfortable to have a shot at winning this game.
