Buccaneers Among Teams Interested In James White
4 years agoSeveral teams are inquiring about New England Patriots free-agent running back James White, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a source. The Bucs already have Ronald Jones II, but Leonard Fournette and veteran LeSean McCoy are both free agents, so Tampa might be looking to add White to the mix. White has experience with quarterback Tom Brady from their time together in New England as well. The 29-year-old running back has seen his rushing role diminish in recent seasons, and he had just 35 carries for 121 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games in 2020. But he also added 49 receptions on 62 targets for 375 yards and an additional touchdown. White could become interesting again in PPR leagues if he joins Brady and the Bucs in a more substantial pass-catching role.
