Bubba Wallace looked fast at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, posting the 13th-fastest lap in practice along with the 8th-best ten-lap average. In qualifying, Bubba went out and made the final round before ultimately ending up 9th with a time of 20.167 seconds, his best-ever starting spot in the Cup Series at this race track. Wallace broke through for his first-ever top 10 finish at Martinsville last fall, finishing 8th last October despite starting back in 24th. Bubba is definitely someone to keep an eye on this weekend. Historically, Martinsville has been one of his best tracks, as he's a two-time winner in the Truck Series at this venue. Bubba's career average finish at Martinsville in the Cup Series is 19.5, but he should finish better than that on Sunday.--Jordan McAbeeRead More News
