Bubba Chandler Allows Three Runs in Two Innings
Bubba Chandler allowed three runs on four hits and one walk with one strikeout over two innings against Triple-A Memphis. Chandler had an abbreviated outing on Thursday, throwing just 49 pitches, and uncharacteristically didn't draw a ton of whiffs. He generated six whiffs on 30 swings overall and wasn't quite as effective in getting swing and misses in the zone. The velocity on the fastball still looked awesome at 97.7 MPH, he filled up the zone, and he didn't give up a lot of hard contact. The top prospect looks ready to be called up to the majors at any moment and would be viewed as a priority add.
