Bubba Chandler Allows One Run in Four Innings
Bubba Chandler allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out three across four innings against Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday. Chandler was able to extend deeper into this outing after recording only two outs in his most recent start. He looked like his typical dominant self, with five pitches exceeding 100 MPH. He generated seven whiffs on 32 swings and was able to stay in the zone for the most part. The 22-year-old didn't allow an extra base hit, and hitters had just an 81 MPH average exit velocity against the right-hander. He is one of baseball's top pitching prospects, and his debut should be coming very soon. He is well worth the stash in most formats.
