Bryce Harper Takes Ground Balls
Bryce Harper (wrist) took ground balls at first base on June 13. Range of motion in his wrist was "almost" back to normal as of June 15. Still no timetable for when Harper will try to swing or throw, as it depends on when he is pain-free, MLB.com reports. This is positive news for Harper's fantasy managers as he has been shut down from all baseball activities since he landed on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to June 6) with right wrist inflammation. Considering it has been 10 days since the injury and he has yet to resume throwing or swinging, it's likely we are looking at a few more weeks before we see Harper back in action. While Harper has been out, Otto Kemp has been seeing more playing time and is hitting .345 in 29 at-bats. Before the injury, Harper was slashing .258/.368/.446 with nine home runs, 34 RBI, 32 runs, and eight steals in 213 at-bats.
