Bryan Rust Evaluated For Lower-Body Injury
1 year agoPittsburgh Penguins right wing Bryan Rust is under evaluation for a lower-body injury, head coach Mike Sullivan announced on Tuesday. Rust played his normal minutes last time out against Vegas, but he is dealing with an injury right now and could miss his first action of the season on Wednesday versus the Rangers. The 31-year-old winger has been back to his best in 2023-24, producing nine goals and 16 points in 17 appearances. With Rickard Rakell (upper body) ruled out long-term on Tuesday, the Penguins could be forced into a major top-six shakeup if Rust is also unavailable for the next game.
