Brett Rypien Should Be Avoided If He Makes Another Start
4 years agoThere remains a chance that Denver Broncos quarterback Brett Rypien receives another start in Week 6 against the Patriots with Drew Lock (shoulder) questionable for Sunday's contest. It's looking more like Lock will make his return since suffering a right shoulder injury in Week 2, though. Rypien was up-and-down in the Week 4 win over the lowly Jets, going 19-for-31 for 242 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown). It was a wobbly performance against arguably the worst team in the NFL, so the 24-year-old would likely struggle if he got the start against New England's defense this week, especially with All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore back in the fold. Ignore Rypien in fantasy if Lock is held out for another week.
