6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff gave up one run on six hits and a walk while striking out six in five innings during Saturday's win against the Mets. This was one of the better starts for Woodruff this season, however it was still not a quality start. Woodruff has yet to earn a quality start this season and he allows a lot of base runners, but does provide a high strikeout rate. With the news of Gio Gonzalez signing with the Brewers, that could mean that Woodruff is out of the rotation, but we won't know for sure until Gonzalez joins the rotation. For now, Woodruff is a pretty mediocre starting pitcher with high strikeout upside and win potential, but also a liability for ratios.
