2 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays are expected to trade a catcher this offseason due to their abundance of talent at the position with Danny Jansen, Alejandro Kirk and Gabriel Moreno, according to multiple rival executives at the general manager meetings this week. Kirk was one of the best hitting catchers at the major-league level this year, slashing .285/.372/.415 with 14 home runs and 63 RBI in 470 at-bats. Jansen was no slouch with the bat either, batting .260 with 15 long balls and 44 RBI in 215 at-bats. Meanwhile, Moreno is one of the team's up-and-coming prospects at the position and hit .319 (22-for-69) with a homer and seven RBI in his first 25 big-league games in 2022.
