Boston Red Sox starting pitching prospect Blake Wehunt tossed five perfect innings on Friday evening. He struck out nine batters. This was a great outing for the 23-year-old, who had a high 5.06 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and a 7:17 BB:K ratio through June. The Kennesaw State product opened the season by making his Single-A debut and posted a 2.16 ERA and 1.05 WHIP across 33 ⅓ frames. Then, on June 4, the right-hander was moved up to High-A Greenville. Even though he started off slow at High-A, Friday's start was a big step in the right direction. Wehunt is currently outside of MLB Pipeline's top 30 Boston prospects but could join this list later in the summer if he continues to post strong outings at High-A.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerRead More News
